Oak Hills Barber Shop

Ed took care of my elderly father who I would bring from the nursing home. He made Dad feel respected and gave him the simple pleasure of being 'one of the guys' when he went. I took Dad a day before he passed, he was weak and Ed helped him to the car with a smile and wave as if nothing were remiss. Dad smiled all the way home. I won't forget it. Thank you Ed. You are truly one of the good ones.

My husband, two sons and now my grandson have been getting their hair cut by Ed for years. What a great place! Exactly what you would expect from a barber, your basic haircut with a straight edge razor neck shave. None of that fancy foofoo stuff. A real man's barbershop with great conversation about sports and current events. And very reasonable priced.

The shop was clean and inviting. The owner was also very kind and professional. That being said, I thought he was lacking in skill or possibly under-equipped. I was surprised to hear that he could not offer me a simple skin fade haircut but rather a basic buzz on the sides with regular clippers. I showed him a picture of what I was looking for and the final product could not have been more off base. I think there may be a chance that the barber is not used to cutting a black or mixed person's hair. I would have preferred that if he were not able to replicate what I showed him or if he was uncomfortable with it, that he say so rather than proceeding to mindlessly butcher my hair. In from out of town & needed a good haircut. Googled barber shops near me & found Ed’s shop. Comfortable shop, a great haircut and good conversation. This will be my go to next time I’m in town for work and need a cut. Thanks Ed!
