Ocean Nails

Ocean nails is hands down the most clean, and friendly nail salon in the Dubuque area. It has such a peaceful atmosphere. They give the best pedicures. Never rushed. Their prices are super reasonable. I’ve been going here FAITHFULLY for 5+ years. Hanna is my personal favorite. She is very skilled when it comes to designs. She takes her time and puts her all into her work. I never leave unsatisfied and they always make me feel like more than just a customer.

The salon is spotless and smells fresh. My technician was gentle and made sure my acrylics were neat and even. On the other hand, it was EXTREMELY time consuming and overpriced. Other than that, It's one of the best experiences I've had in a nail salon.

My friend and I had an absolutely horrid experience at this nail salon. The lines of the French manicure are all lopsided and different thicknesses. The manicurist who was filing my nails with the electric nail file went through my nail down to my skin at the top of my pinky. Then, they got black polish on my skin in multiple places. None of the edges are neat, the color fill is splotchy and chipped, and there is residue left over from where the polish wasn't completely cleaned up on the corners. To top off the experience, the manicurist was very rude and harsh towards me. My friend, whom also got a French manicure, had asymmetric tips as well and, as her tips were white, had white polish all over her fingers. Additionally, the manicurist made her bleed and in multiple places from cutting

I am very frustrated with how my nails turned out, I went in wanting to get my nails done after a horrible day, so I walk in and the service was very fast I immediately get seen which was very good, I get seen by this older woman who was very gentle and was very nice but she was very slow and whenever she filed my nails nothing would happen they all turned out lopsided and uneven. Then when it was time to put the acrylic powder on she took at least 5 minutes with each nail. Then when she was painting them I showed her a picture of brown nails and the first color she got me was purple, then when I tried to correct her she got a different shade of “brown” which was actually red and I was already in a rush since she took so long with the acrylic so after she did one coat of polish I couldn’t

Ocean Nails did a wonderful job. I came in with a bridal party of 5, all with different needs and design choices. While some of us had confusion about what exactly we wanted (me in particular) the nail technicians helped guide us through it and made sure we were happy with the result. They took extra time and were very patient. I also loved seeing some regulars come in and strike up communication with the staff. It was clear there is a good vibe here and I'm glad we chose this salon. Price seemed reasonable for the services. Salon was clean and comfortable. They provided water and snacks, I believe, as well.
