One Nails

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have never in my life had service this bad. I told the girl how I wanted my nails done and she left them so sharp on the sides, I actually cut myself. She left me sitting under the dryer and left. After watched several eposides on TV I asked the other tech why was I still under the dryer, and she didn't know. I told her I was not happy with my nails. She left the filing from the drill on my nails. She never even buffed my nails. The tech did agree they did not look right and called the owner. I was told to come back the next morning and I did. I showed the owner who all she did was just filed the sharpness. She said they didn't look good but she did not soak them off and start over. NOTHING. I told her I was not happy but I was not about to go back in fo

Very rude and they don’t stick to hours displayed.. Don’t waste your time going here!!

Honestly… I feel like this location is ONLY still open to service those who stay downtown Newport News, other than that they should’ve BEEN shut down business permanently. I have had the disservice of getting my eyebrows done, nails soaked off, and pedicures AT THIS LOCATION and they are ALL (with the exception of the black girl who does the nails & eyebrows) rude. The man who does my soak off tells me to stop getting nails and acts like he don’t wanna do said service (take it off the menu then) , every time I ask for acrylic toenails they tell me I don’t need it (lazy) and the lady who did my eyebrows (that one time in April) made them too thin and they’re STILL growing back. Do yourself a favor and take the drive up Mercury Blvd to find a decent nail salon. This one ain’t it sis.

I only rated it 2 stars because they did complete the service but it was not a pleasurable experience and my nails look sloppy. I made an appointment but due to miscommunication between the nail techs & receptionist they didn’t have it down. After waiting for forever, she finally did my nails and they’re supposed to be a pink French tip but look awful because of how uneven the tips are. The gentleman working there also proceeded to yell in my ear, speaking with the woman who was doing my nail’s the entire duration of my service. Thankfully, my brows look okay.

I have been going here for years, when Jody and her husband were there, which I believe they were the original owners and I damned near cried when she left. She was awesome! However, if you want yours nail done right, ask for Wendy! I have made the mistake of letting the others do my nails because I was anxious but I learned quick! I ended having to go to another shop to get the nails fixed because I was so upset and unhappy. If Wendy is not there I will suck it up and go else where.
