I got my nails done by them last week and I didn’t like how the man did them, so I left a bad review. They actually called me afterward to apologize and asked when I could come in so they could fix my nails. I really appreciated that. I came in Saturday morning. My appointment was at 10, but I didn’t arrive until 10:20. Even though I was late, they still sat me right away. My tech this time was a really sweet lady named Erika. She talked with me, asked what went wrong with my last set, and really tried to understand what I wanted so she could make it better. She even gave me a phone stand so I could watch my show while getting my nails done, which was super thoughtful. I showed her the inspo picture and she recreated it perfectly. The atmosphere is chic, stylish, and so thoughtfully put together. Everything is spotless and beautifully arranged — you can tell they take pride in not only their work but their space. It’s clean, modern, and honestly such a vibe. It feels more like a luxury self-care experience than just a nail appointment. I started coming to Onyx about a year ago and loved them! However the service has been rapidly declining and the prices continue to rise. The most recent time I went was a week and a half ago. The lady was very sweet however she took over two hours to do just my nails and they were a simple design. Over the weekend one of my nails popped off which was only a week after getting them done. My nails usually last a month. another one just popped off and I discovered a greenie underneath it, which I did not have before. I’m assuming this is from moisture getting trapped under my nails because they were not done properly. I want to continue going here and loving this place but this was a final straw.
