I went to this salon on Thursday 5/23 for a gel manicure and pedicure. Everything seemed pretty good, my pedicure was great and I really enjoyed it; I upgraded to one of the ones with the hot stone massage, and was very pleased. My manicure looked pretty good too, although I did notice that the guy doing my manicure put very thick layers of gel and had to scrape a lot off the sides before curing. Still, it looked good when he was done. On Saturday 5/25 I noticed that almost all of my nails had polish lifting at the edges. I always use gel so I know they normally last 2-3 weeks. I come to the Owasso Nail Bar every two weeks to get my nails done with dipping powder on my real nails. The last lady that did my nails did a poor job on them. I went in on Thursday of last week to get them done I ended up having to call them and ask them to fix them again because a few of them broke and the clear gel polish was coming off them. I went back on Sunday to get them redone they were supposed to fix them but she didn't do it correctly again so two more broke and the clear gel is coming off of them again. The lady that did my nails asked me what color I chose and I told her the number because I had it written down in my phone. I have been a loyal customer since 2021. I have some taken breaks to let my nails heal but have definitely spent a lot of time and money at this establishment. Typically I get the same thing. Acrylic nails, almond shape, colored tip. It’s been the better part of a year since I’ve gotten nails and went back today. Asked for my normal. Acrylic nails, brown tip, almond shape. My nail technician starts a process I haven’t seen before. Scrapes a half moon shape out of the acrylic to fill with the color. (Typically the color is painted on). I can hear and see his frustrations. It’s not depositing the color like he wants. He takes it off and redoes it a number of times. It actually looks AWFUL but I’m trusting the process. My favorite place ever best service but overall BEST nails and colors they last me 4 weeks no problems !
