Paradise Nails and Spa 2 (Shopping Mall)

I've had a couple services here. I had gel removed, a basic manicure and most recently a face and head massage. All services were good and priced well. The gel polish was taken off with care to do as little damage to my actual nail, which was appreciated. The regular polish is still going strong 4 days later, which is great considering how often I wash my hands for work. The head massage helped with the headache I was having today, which is worth its weight in gold. My only minor complaint is it can get noisy with all of the employees talking in the front at times, which was less than relaxing when I had my nails polished. For a place that charges $100 for a full set, I really expected better quality and technique. My nails didn’t match the inspo picture at all. It just felt thick and bulky. I asked for a more tapered shape and thinner acrylic, and although he tried, it was obvious he didn’t really know how to do it. On top of that, the staff kept talking in another language and seemed annoyed the moment I took a quick phone call, which made the experience uncomfortable. I’m not someone who makes a big deal, and I still tipped $10, but I didn’t realize I’d also be charged $14 in taxes just for using my card. So in total I paid $124 for a full set I didn’t like

Annie is the BEST nail tech and Yela is the BEST for a pedicure!!! They are both so sweet and will do whatever you ask! Both of my absolute go to’s!! Love them❤️ Great salon!!

Very clean place and nice staff. HOWEVER, I went less than a week ago and my gel manicure is already coming off. Also, I received a gel pedicure with callus remover and it was left on way too long. Looks like I have a chemical burn on the bottom of both feet. I would’ve addressed it while I was there, but didn’t notice until I went home. (See attached pictures)

I have been coming to this nail salon for over a year. My experience is usually pleasant. However, this most recent visit i was told I was required to pay a $20 tip because I spent over $120. I was not informed of this required tip amount before hand. I felt taken advantage of as I have never been to a nail salon who makes tip mandatory, let alone require a specific amount. I asked to speak to a manager about it and was told he was not there. I will not be returning to this nail salon despite the good service.
