I’m surprised at the negative comments. I had a good experience. I called to send over my mermaid braid inspo pics and get a quote. Marie explained the process to me very thoroughly. I bought my hair at a beauty supply, showed her to see if I should get more, then came back a few days later to get my hair done. It took about 6 hours but came out so beautiful. I paid $250 via zelle while other places were quoting me $350 minimum. I’m very happy with the result! Things to keep in mind: -It’s basically by appointment only so call first -There is hair available to purchase -The location and atmosphere is not great, but for the decent pricing and good quality it’s worth it

I have got my hair done there twice. She braids too tight and prices are too high for slow work. I did cornrows the 1st time and my hair started coming out with in the 2nd day. The 2nd time I got a sew in weave it took 4 hours to do. Marie is the only one in there that does hair the other girl just stands around and sweeps. Dont waste ur time

READ ENTIRE REVIEW BEFORE GOING. First of all, this braiding shop opens whenever the owner gets there. The hours say they open at 10 but it’s more like 11:30. I went in and asked the lady about 6 lemonade braids. She said $10 per braid. While doing my hair, she added a 7th braid. So I paid her $70. She then charged me $10 for 2 packs or hair. RIP OFF. I told her I would go to the atm and bring the $10 back. She then told her assistant to get in MY car and ride to the atm w. me. She braids entirely too tight. I was ready to take my hair out the day after. There are mice running around the shop due to the clutter, old food and mess they have in there (I saw 2 mice). The style is nice but not worth the horrible experience. Go to Mary’s in Plainfield.

Ratchet place. Make sure when you call tjem with a price quote that when you arrive there you record it or better yet have them text you the quoye so that you are not hit with a bait and switch ..$100 make than originally quoted I mean. Finished producted was not all that. They do not accept cards as well which most folks carry and they wait until the last minute to advise. Not a real business just a hole in the wall if you catch my drift. Guess they do not like paper trails.
