Penelope Loves Hair

Penelope is the best! She is a true professional and extremely precise with her cuts. She truly understands my vision every time. I know I am in great hands every time I visit! I will never trust another stylist.

Penelope got the brief. I have never had a hairdresser cut so effectively to the texture of my hair. Turns out my hair is wavy and even kind of curly, and she shaped it into an amazing long shag that is already getting better with time. I'm obsessed. (Also as others have commented, she is an awesome person! I can't wait to spend more time in her chair!)

I am grateful to have been a client of Penelope's for almost 15 years. I don't live in New York anymore and I won't get my hair cut now unless I'm visiting the city and it's Penelope doing the job. I've tried stylists all over the world but I can't say I haven't met many who are as professional, personable, kind, and good at their job as Penelope is. As someone who generally hates getting my hair cut, she makes it something I look forward to when I travel to New York. She knows I don't get my hair done often and always give me a cut with that in mind that looks amazing the day I get it and six months down the line as it's growing out. Penelope is so welcoming and sweet. She tooks the time to listen to me about my concerns about the cut, and gave me lots of suggestions and had a genuine conversation about what I wanted to do. She showed me a haircut I didn’t even think of doing. And I am so happy with the results. I’m so happy we talked things through. She made me a dirty martini and made me feel like a celebrity, getting first class pampering treatment in the salon. 💇🏻‍♀️ I think she’s so talented but also so down to earth ♥️

Penelope is truly a magician. I met Penelope a few weeks ago & so appreciated her insightful questions in trying to understand my hair and how it can work around my lifestyle. Not to mention the little nuggets of wisdom she shared about hair care that have really been a game changer for me. Also, she's so down-to-earth and just plain awesome as a human.
