From far away, passable. From up close, not so much. Second to las last pic is inspo, last pic is what I wanted but they said the nail art was too much, so plan B. Straightforward, Xmas nails, essentially red french tips, almond, medium. This was my first time at the salon. The tech didn't use a nude base coat, the red tips are VERY crooked, and he nicked me a couple times at the cuticle line. There's also air bubbles in the gel, like in nearly every single nail. Is that normal? I came to get gel nails because my regular lady doesn't do apres gel x anymore. I got the vibe that my nail tech at Phoenix doesn't do nails regularly. Maybe not, but it took 2 hours, which is wild to me. I paid $85 + tip for this. I think the price is fair because I also had removal plus he put on acrylic tips f

This is the only place I’ll go to in Kalamazoo to get my nails done! They always do a great job and their pricing is really affordable. I usually get a shellac manicure for $35-$40 and it lasts for weeks without chipping (for reference, the first photo was right after my appointment and the second is exactly a month later!!!) You need to call ahead to schedule an appointment, but they’ve usually been able to squeeze me in even when I’ve only called a day or two in advance, and I’ve rarely had to wait once I get there. Highly recommend!

I struggled finding a great nail place in Kalamazoo for awhile until I found Phoenix Nails. I’ve been going there repeatedly for the last 6 months and every time they are nothing short of amazing. Not only do they do an exceptional job, but they are friendly and the environment is always so welcoming. They also take such good care of your natural nails. I’ve been to places that absolutely destroy your natural nails in the process of doing your nails. I have been able to grow my natural nails so long and they are so healthy, I definitely recommend Phoenix nails to anyone who is looking for a great nail place!!
