2 stars is very generous. I had an appointment originally at 3:15 and it got “rescheduled” without me being aware of the change, no call, nothing. It apparently was changed to 3pm. My child was turned away. I love the girl who cuts his hair. Hate how this place runs. I realized after I got off the phone with the manager that my appointment was rescheduled without me being made aware of the change. I was looking to make it right since times of arrival weren’t matching up. However none of that matters since my appointment was at 3:15. It would have never been made for 3 due to prior arrangements. Anyway, I will no longer be using this service. Always loved the ooltewah location. This is the second time I’ve had an issue with the downtown location. Not worth it.

We had a really disappointing experience today. I stopped by the salon yesterday and wasn’t able to be seen because they were busy, which I completely understood. While I was there, I made an appointment for today at 2:40 PM. We arrived at 2:45 — just a few minutes late, which is honestly the reality of life with a two‑year‑old — and found the doors locked. Their posted hours clearly said they were open until 3 PM, and we had a confirmed appointment, so we were confused. When we looked through the window, we saw two employees inside who very obviously saw us but chose to ignore us. We knocked several times, and no one came to the door. My children had a very disappointing experience here. They were both excited to get their haircuts, but unfortunately, the service did not meet expectations. The stylist rushed through the entire process, and I was concerned about how roughly she handled my 8-year-old's hair, pulling it quite hard. She spent no more than three minutes on her, and didn't even bother to blow dry her hair. As for my 4-year-old, the haircut was uneven, with the back being noticeably choppy (please see the attached picture). My child remained still throughout the cut, so it was not an issue of movement. I showed the stylist the style I wanted for both children, and while she acknowledged it, the results were far from what we had discussed. We are so happy with our experience and with our daughter’s hair! We saw Jennifer for the first haircut package and she was awesome! I wanted to edit & add that I took my daughter in again & we saw Beth this time. Even though my daughter cried & was uncooperative, her hair still turned out adorable. Beth was extremely patient and she did a fantastic job.

I took my son here once and Beth did a great job! I had an appointment for his second visit but unfortunately we hit some unexpected traffic. I called to let them know we would be about 5 min late. They said the appointment would be cancelled if we were any more than 5 min late. I knew it could possibly be 6 or 7 min so I spoke with the manager and she didn’t even try to accommodate. They forced us to cancel the appointment. I understand being late is not ideal but it was 30 min prior to them closing and again, the manager didn’t make any effort to help us. They lost a customer tonight. Only recommend going here if you’re extremely punctual.
