Pigtails & Crewcuts: Haircuts for kids - Chesapeake, VA

First time bringing my girls to a Pigtails and Crewcuts and will definitely use again. The facility was clean, and the stylist and receptionist were all very friendly. Our stylist Lindsey did a great job with our toddler's first real haircut. The play area made it easy for my kiddo to adjust while waiting. My girls loved being able to pick out new bows to take home in their hair after their cuts. I appreciated our stylist quietly asking me first if the kids could have a lolly before offering them.The extra details like having a familiar movie on in the background and special rewards like a treasure box made all the difference in a successful haircut experience for us.

Outstanding service for both my 2 year old and Mt 12 year old! My sensory sensitive 2 year old was handled perfectly for her first haircut. The first haircut package is a perfect memento to mark the occasion. My 12 year old got a trim for healthy looking hair with some fairy hair tossed in. The staff was warm, welcoming, accommodating, gentle, and downright delightful. The whole atmosphere is a gem in a service that can be very difficult for parents, kids and the stylists. Allyyah was amazing for my child’s first haircut experience! She was patient with him, asked how I wanted his hair cut, and explained what she was doing before she did it throughout the haircut process. Opted for the First haircut experience and it was worth the extra 5/6 bucks for the cute photo and lock of hair!

I was so nervous about my son’s 1st hair cut but he did great! He loved it here he didn’t want to leave! Jenny did amazing with his hair cut 10/10 recommend!

I’ve taken my 1 year old son here many times. Aliyah is amazing with him. She’s patient and cuts his hair exactly as expected every time. She keeps his settings saved in his portfolio so we always get what we ask for. Unfortunately, today we had to use Jenny and she completely butchered the crap out of my son’s hair. I’m more mad because this is right before family photos in another state and now I have to find a different barber who can hopefully try to repair her damage.
