I never leave reviews but I’m very upset. The owner Ms. Evelyn was extremely unprofessional and very disrespectful. My son has been getting his hair cut for years & I should have removed my son as soon as she started cutting his hair I could tell he was uncomfortable with her by the look on his face. She told me my son was misbehaving because he wouldn’t keep his head straight when she asked him to, he would raise his shoulders like shrugging because he was uncomfortable and her tone made it worse. I did my best to make him comfortable and accommodate him, he’s never had an issue with getting his hair cut before but this lady was rough with him and used harsh words which I deemed unprofessional. Absolutely horrifying experience. We visited this salon today for our little boy's first hair cut. He is only 10 month old, so we were excited and nervous on how he would take it. We picked this salon as our earlier experience with our daughter's first haircut was delightful (we got a different hair stylist back then, in 2023, she was extremely accommodating, ensuring we felt ok about the style before she used the scissors). We did a walk-in today and we got the lead master hair stylist, she said that they don't accept walk-in appts on Monday. The salon was completely empty so I guess she decided to take us in. pros: fast, open scheduling availability, pleasant front desk cons: cold stylist who could care less about “first hair cut” milestone experience and also completely ignored our requests. Did not listen whatsoever and ruined daughter’s hair. We very specifically said NO layers, that we wanted a simple bob. she literally just had to cut the long uneven “tendrils” my daughter had. I should have just done it at home but we wanted the “first haircut” excitement. we left with no bob and feathered layers…! she has no length anymore to pull it back. I am extremely disappointed in the staff here Even with an appointment we were turned away due to my child’s kinky hair. If your child is of African or non European decent hair textures don’t waste your time. They won’t have enough time to actually do your kids hair regardless of appointment. Just go a to a black owned business to avoid confusion. I’m glad their staff was realistic but it’s a giant bother to waste the commute and be turned around.

I had high hopes for my daughter’s trim but had a negative experience and left with her hair more uneven than when she came in. My daughter was coughing and was understandably asked to wear a mask, which she did without a problem. The stylist was also wearing a mask, but was so concerned with getting sick, that she actually cut her hair as far as possible from my child as she could. On top of that, despite the fact that my daughter came in wearing braids and her hair was wavy, the stylist only wet the bottom part of her hair, which resulted in an incredibly uneven cut. She asked me for my approval three times and I had to ask her to properly redo it in all three occasions. By the way third time it was obvious that she had no intention of taking the time to do it right and I called it quit
