Porokhane Hair Braiding

This is the first African braiding shop I’ve been to that really knows how to do a variety of styles and do them well. The parts are super clean, and they actually take their time with your hair, which I really appreciate. I brought my daughter here about three weeks ago, and we loved her braids so much that I came back to get mine done the following Saturday. Both of our styles turned out beautiful, neat, even, and just really well done. I’m definitely coming back again!

I wish I could give a better rating however I have to be honest with my experience. Katy is great she always provided good customer service. I’m not sure what happened but it seems her daughters are in charge now. I made a appointment days before my expected arrival for a braid removal and install. When I called with a question regarding boho hair she acted like I never had a appointment then stated that they no longer take out braids which was incorrect because I scheduled a braid removal and knotless install days prior. I understand young girls may not know the meaning of good customer service take this as a lesson. I hope katy returns.

I included the conversation I had with this shop the day prior to my arrival. When I arrived they were asking if I could come back tomorrow or go to a shop down the street. I let them know that I drove an hr and a half just to get my hair done by them today which we had already discussed. They accommodated me. Now when I first sat down, I wanted to make sure everything was right so I asked the size of the parting and braid she was doing. She said medium. In the messages and in person I made sure to say extra small. They then get on the phone with some woman and ended up charging me an extra $50 because “that’s the starting price for extra small braids”. I said okay. They continue on my hair and I now was being told the back of my hair is too short for knotless. That the back will be done w

Highly recommend. Ms. Katie does my hair, and I walk out very pleased every time. Her daughter's do great work with the braids as well. Prices are reasonable.

My first time going here i loved my experience. Everyone was so nice and they make sure you comfortable. I came with my hair washed and blowdried so that she could just go from there. I sent my picture of my hair style they had the hair already ready and she started and finished my hair pretty fast. And my hair came out beautifully and it was reasonably priced. 180 for smedium box braids. 10/10 will definitely be going back
