Primp and Blow Austin Triangle

This is my go-to place whenever I need a blow dry! There are always appointments, the manager is super kind, and the stylists are all so fast. I’m in and out in 40 minutes(sometimes less) and the blowouts are fantastic. The perfect way to start a week or weekend.

I love the Primp and Blow brand (have been several times in Houston) but frankly had a poor experience at this location. Due to extraneous circumstances, I was running 15 minutes late to the appointment which I completely recognize is my fault. I notified them beforehand and when they called, I told them I understood if my original request would have to be modified because of the time. I was prepared to pay a cancellation fee, reschedule, pay extra, etc. However, the moment I came in, my stylist was short with me. I asked for a soft, 90s-esque blowout with curled ends and showed her a picture of how P&B has done this ask for me before. Rather than telling me it would be unfeasible, she proceeded to make comment after comment during the appointment about how "I had too much hair" or "I've

Blowout and hot tools session were fantastic. Hair held well for my photos I had later in the day. Really pleased with those results; unfortunately makeup was a huge miss for me. Application was splotchy and I had to take off the eye make up when I got home. Eyeliner was way too thick and smudged after multiple attempts. The staff was all very sweet though.

I’ve been a Primp and Blow member for almost two years now - I go about twice a month, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite little luxuries. It’s always super easy to get an appointment, everyone there is so kind and talented, and I walk out feeling like a more put-together version of myself every single time. Pro tip: request Jae. Every stylist is great (truly, I’ve never had a bad blowout here), but Jae is next-level. My hair lasts for days and somehow still looks freshly done. If you’re a blowout person, just get the membership. It’s worth every penny.

Mallory was so amazing!! I don’t trust a lot of people with my hair and she did a great job with the curls. Took her time, let me relax and read a book. I’ll definitely be coming back to her :)
