While I've had incredibly positive experiences here in the past, I was very disappointed after a recent hair coloring service. I requested a balayage and it was not done well - it's clear that my hair is patchy and the color is not blended in many places. I reached out to ask for a refund, but was told that my only option was to come back in to get it fixed. I communicated that I wasn't comfortable coming in for additional services and preferred the refund, but was told salon policies are nonnegotiable. The most frustrating part of it all is that I probably would have considered allowing someone at Purr to fix my hair it it was acknowledged that the coloring service I received was inadequate. I live in Boston and drive to Beverly just to come to Purr and see Liz. She’s been styling my hair for years and I wouldn’t entrust it to anyone else. She’s a strong, creative entrepreneur who brings her experience from salons on Newbury Street to the North Shore. The parlor is a beautiful space to relax and the quality of her work is always top tier. I have blonde hair which is susceptible to dulling or color change over time; the dimension Liz is able to revive with balayage is stunning. Pics for proof.

I went to Purr for the first time yesterday and had a wonderful experience! I got balayage and a haircut with the owner, Liz. She was so welcoming, kind, and helped me to decide on color and cut. My hair tends to be kind of flat and thin, and she gave me some awesome layers and great dimension with the color. I highly recommend this salon and will definitely be back!

Liz has been cutting my hair for years, and she knocks it out of the park every. time. The salon is welcoming and beautiful, and everyone is so friendly. I love going in and just letting Liz figure out my next cut. I was always such a nervous hair cut person bringing a zillion reference photos, but now i just let Liz do her thing. It's always awesome.
