I had a Curly Cut with Andrea last week and WOW!!! She is just phenomenal at what she does, very knowledgable about curl care and which products would work best with my texture. She cut my curls exactly how I asked- curly, voluminous layers with face-framing bangs. Then she styled it and I was shocked at how perfect and moisturized my curls looked. It's been 5 days since my appointment and the curls are still going strong with the styling techniques she used. I will definitely be back soon!

i just got an amazing haircut here. the whole experience was so enjoyable - the space is stunning, they’ve got coffee and tea on hand, and everyone is super friendly. i came into my haircut pretty open and mira helped me hone in on something more precise while keeping my long term hair goals and health in mind. fabbbbb and can’t wait to come back

After spending weeks of researching hair salons in NYC that specializes in naturally curly hair and a salon that has experience with hair pulling and any form of trichotillomania, I found the one! I am so grateful for the work Elma (the owner) did on my hair and for what she taught be about taking care of my hair. I came in as a skeptic, as it was my first time going into a dry cut curly hair salon. By the end, I was in disbelief that my very porous and thin hair could curl! Elma is extremely skilled and talented at what she does, and also very supportive and kind. I have never had such an amazing time at a hair salon in my life ♥️ The space is also beautiful, and you are offered tea or coffee upon arrival which was super sweet! It had been 4 days now, and the curls are still strong!

I have been going to Queen of Swords at the Bushwick location for over five years. I primarily see Elma, the owner, but have also gone to others when she wasn't available and they were amazing as well (Markee & Megan) I finally got to go to the new location and OMG it is beautiful. You can tell Elma puts a lot of love into her work and the space AND her haircuts speak to this. Check them out especially if you have curly hair! I think they also rent out the space for events as well.

A wonderful experience! I booked an appointment with Kay. The salon space in Ridgwood is really cool and lovely, and Kay was fabulous. Like many with curly hair, I've had some rough haircuts in the past and tend to be anxious about salon appointments, but Kay was detail-oriented and took the time to make sure my hair was at the exact length and style I was comfortable with. Will absolutely go back in the future
