⚠️ BEWARE – SCAM ALERT! ⚠️ I received a check from this company even though I never conducted any business or sale with them. This is a fraudulent attempt. Do not deposit or trust any checks you receive from them. Stay away!

Total SCAM! A guy wanted to buy our Harley that was listed on FB. He said he was in CA. A certified check was mailed from Wilcox, AZ, that included a so-called shipping fee of $3100 above the asking price. The return address on the priority mail envelope was Raytheon Woburn, 225 Presidential Way, MD, which is not listed as an active location on Raytheon's website. Nothing seemed to fit, and we couldn't connect the dots... caller's location, where the priority envelope was mailed from, and the return address on the priority mail label. Our bank looked at the text communication between the buyer and my husband, USPS tracking details, the priority label, along with the check and decided to keep the check and report it to their fraud and abuse department. Someone is using this address for a scam. I was selling something on Craigslist, they wanted to buy. Sent a “ Bank certified check” for more than the amount i was asking. They explained it was to cover the freight. I deposited it on line. My bank came back within 15 minutes that there was something wrong with the bank. I got another text from the scammer asking me to deposit $700 to the freight company. Obviously a scam.

Must be a scammer. Guy named Victor tried buying my boat with a bad cashiers check. Added $3,650 to pay the pickup guys and wanted me to give it to them. Can’t cash the check to clear. The bank confiscates the check and sends to the fraud department for investigation.

Raytheon is an aerospace and defense company they don’t sell boats or do home remodeling. I’m not sure why some reviews are accusing them of being a scam related to boat sales or house renovations. 🤔
