I have 4c TIGHT natural hair and I have an EXTREMELY tender scalp. I walked in expecting the usual pain of detangling etc. Renee was so gentle I felt absolutely zero pain. I was shocked because I hadn’t even detangled from removing my braids. We did several processes - texturizer (after 11 years fully natural), color rinse, blow, flat iron, clip ins and curls. She was professional and knowledgeable. Renee did a PHENOMENAL job. Lastly, the salon is upscale and relaxing (they play fashion shows - an extra bonus if you love fashion.)

I worked with Renee's daughter, Afi. She was super kind and knowledgable, this was my first "silk press" and she assured me throughout the process and was happy to answer my many questions. She took the time to condition my hair and she straightened it with care and attention to detail. My hair has lasted 2 weeks now! With the New York summer humidity and all. Afi even showed me how to "wrap" my hair for sleeping and she gave me the names of all of her favorite serums and brushes. I reached out to her a few times regarding some questions she was happy to answer and she followed up with me as well to see how my hair was holding up. I brought my daughter and her friends in today to get pink and blue Dutch braids. Rene was a total professional, and made the braids exactly as my daughter and her friends envisioned. We will be back.

I had the pleasure of having Renee do my hair again after so many years of not being in her chair and she did not disappoint. She was on point and then some! Before I even got to her chair, Renee was understanding and supportive as I told her my natural hair woes. I also wanted one particular style which was not exactly gonna work this time, but Renee offered great alternatives when I thought all was lost. My hair was a tangled, very, very dry, shedding and more and Renee was very gentle with my natural hair and got it untangled, moisturized, and back in great shape. She suggested knotless braids as a style and I never once had felt any hard pulling,pressure, or anything bad like when unfortunately I get braids from the African sistahs.
