Cannot recommend L and her services enough!!!! She is a true professional and worked some real magic on me recently. She gave me an amazing new look with k-tip extensions to build up lost volume due to thinning hair. She was so kind, thoughtful, and attentive. The extensions blend seamlessly with my natural hair, giving me a major confidence boost. If you are considering extensions to give your hair density and volume, do not hesitate to reach out to her. Also, I have many friends who have gotten haircuts with L that grow out beautifully — she is so good at what she does and has an amazing sense of what is cool and fresh, while also considering what will work for YOU. If you’re looking for the most perfect place to get your hair done in NYC, this is it. I met Crystal a few years ago at another salon and will follow her anywhere. She’s not only an amazing colorist (my red hair is everything to me) but the best way to describe her is a warm hug. The environment is cozy, comfy, safe, and something I look forward to every 8-10 weeks. I love this studio so much (you’ll even see my hair in their promo pics because of it). This is where you should be too.

Crystal is the best I’ve been with her for 2+ years and I’m just genuinely happy every time I get to see her, she has magical hands that make every time like a dream. She’s super careful with my hair and from the beginning super honest about what can be done and what could take longer so your hair is healthy and pretty. If you’re looking to try something fun, pretty or just be around your comfy zone she’s yours girl. At last I’ll say she’s super kind and caring and of course incredible talented!

I cannot say enough great things about Crystal and River Salon. I have naturally dark hair and have been dying it fantasy colors for most of my life but I've never been able to find someone who was not only willing but experienced enough to give me pastels or platinum blonde without killing my hair. Crystal has not only gotten me to a perfect platinum but is honest with me when we need to take a break from bleach and nails the in-between sessions every single time. They are creative, kind, imaginative with color and most important of all, extremely skilled. I truly look forward to my sessions with Crystal as it feels just like hanging out with a good friend! And River itself is a gorgeous clean and relaxing space. I love being there! Everyone go! Just be prepared to be complimented by ever
