Riverside Nail

This has been my go to nail place. I love the ladies that work there, all so nice, they work great together and are always helping each other. I have had Rose do my nails each time and she is wonderful. Super friendly and funny. She takes great care of me and does great at recommending colors and styles when I have not a clue. When I first started seeing her I told her I’d like my nails to be long since I am a huge nail biter and my actual nails are so short. She did the gel x and coffin shape on my fingers. If you’ve never heard of it, get it. It’s so much better than the old style gel on acrylic nails. I’ve always been a square nails girl so this was a big change and i absolutely love it. I get so many compliments!

I had a really good experience here. I called for an appointment after a terrible experience at another salon in town earlier. They were able to fit me in same day within 30 minutes. The nail tech took her time and my nails came out perfect. I bite my nails and pick at my cuticles and you would never even know. I will be back again.

I used to like this salon. I went yesterday with my daughter for a mani pedi. Their prices went up to $65.00, which I understand in this economy. However, the quality went down! No foot and leg massage, no hand massage. I told the girl doing my pedi that I wanted the same color for my mani, but she lost/misplaced the color and had to compromised on the color which I am not pleased with. The same girl who did my mani, did my daughter’s. My daughter did not get the ends of her nails polished and they are rough to the touch. My daughter didn’t get the foot and hand massage either. What should have been an hour appointment turned into 1 3/4 hours. They were past closing and rushed our appointment.

Alas, I wanted to really like this place. It’s close to home and a manicure is a good price. However, I’m an OPI girl. When I walked in and saw that they weren’t using OPI, I should’ve left, but I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. Problem 1–not a good manicure, very little work was done on the sides of my fingertips; 2-no treatment of my cuticles; 3-the tips of my nails were not gone over (sealed) before top coat was applied (my manicure and gels are 4 days old in these pictures). Very disappointed.

Rose is amazing at manicures, the last time I went my dip came out perfect and the price was very reasonable for the amount of work and attention she put into my nails. However, I stopped in for a gel pedicure the other day and was shocked at the increase in price. $70 plus tip for just a pedicure. Unfortunately I will not be returning here for a pedicure.
