Charniece laid my natural THICK hair out with a beautiful silk press. asked for a trim and she did just that without butchering my hair! I am VERY pleased. hair feels light as if I just got a perm. AND she accommodated me last minute. DON'T sleep on the young sista. She is TRULY talented!

Took my daughter here yesterday to fix her hair. It had gotten bad because we had gone through some issues that prevented us getting it done. It was really bad knotted to the point it was nearly one big dred knot. We had went to one salon out in Suitland closer to home to get it detangled but they were very aggressive with her hair and didn't do it 100%. They got it out of the dred knot but it was still too puffy because they didn't do a proper blow out so that I could do anything with her hair to keep it from knotting up again. So after being picked up from school I had her brought down here because I work in the AutoZone next door so they can finish the job while I was at work next door and could check up on her. I have been coming to Royals for about 6 years. That staff is very friendly and Aissa is my go-to girl for braids. She has done a variety of styles on me to include: Crochet Faux Locks, Medium Box Braids, Small Box Braids, Waist Length Knotless Braids, and Goddess Braids. You name it, and she can braid it! Hilda is the Weave Guru and has done a variety of styles, including curly sew-ins and both long and Asymmetrical Bob sew-ins. She has also custom colored my weave before. They are both very fairly priced too.

I came to this shop on a whim as I have my own loctician I go to and will start by saying that I am not happy with this place at all. I came in and asked for barrel twists for my locs and was told that would cost $75. So far, no issues and the lady was able to take my walk-in an hour later. Once she finished, I was shown my hair and noticed that she only did a retwist and NOT the barrel twists. I paid for the appt and even tipped her $10 as I believe a good job, may it be the wrong one, deserves a good tip. That being said, here is where the problem is. I didn't come in with the intention of a retwist. I wanted and paid for my hair to be styled for court the next day and that wasn't done.
