Have been coming here for 10+ years!!! Me, mom and grandma all come here. The whole team is so patient and supportive. They are honest and do an amazing job every time. Mel does my hair and she is the best, she takes her time and you can feel her passion for beauty. She is super talented along with the rest of the hair artist there.

I couldn’t have been more grateful to have Sadete from Salon Illusion do my wedding hair! Both my mom and I have been going to Salon Illusion for many years—not only for cut and color, but also for updos for every milestone. There was no doubt in my mind that I wanted Sadete to do my hair for my wedding day. Sadete truly took my vision and brought it to life. She was by far one of the easiest vendors to book and work with throughout the entire process. Sadete and Mel even traveled through a snowstorm to our venue in New Jersey, and despite our tight timeline, they made sure everyone was ready right on schedule. I’m so thankful for their dedication and for helping make my wedding day feel so special.

Been going to this salon since they were in the Hylan plaza and since I was in elementary school (I’m 26). I come once a year. Today I received the worst hair cut I ever received from this salon. Would not suggest walking in and sitting in Mel’s chair. She completely ignored my request and did what she wanted with my hair. Also did not style my hair so not only did she chop all my hair off, I walked out with puffy short frizzy hair. I specifically asked for a trim to keep the length as much as possible cut in a v no layers. She cut my hair all the same length. I never felt more ugly or disturbed from this experience. I been crying for the last 2 hours. I’m really disappointed, still would recommend this salon but would recommend you call and book with Josephine. Walk ins are welcome but if

I went for a blowout and curls for a HS reunion and loved the whole experience!! Highly recommend this salon! They also provide so many different services all in one place! Can’t wait for my next appointment! **Update: Also did a few more curls and blowouts from July to December and loved the outcome each time! Samantha and Mel take excellent care of my hair!!

I’ve been going to Salon Illusion for years! Before this location, they were inside the Hylan shopping plaza before the remodel. I love them! I see Vanessa. She is so amazing and talented. Wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair.
