Sergio transformed a disastrous haircut into a classy style that gave my hair real fullness and volume with movement. He took the time to truly listen to what I wanted and patiently explained what he could do, step by step during a consult before the actual cut. We went over my expectations and his suggestions the day of as well. I absolutely loved the final result and our effortless conversation throughout the appointment made time fly. Remy, his dog, was an added bonus :) A salon I’d return to and recommend without hesitation!

Salon Masaya is the best hair salon in Philly. Period. They’re a hidden gem in Fishtown that I only knew about after walking by. I was nervous because of past experiences in salons where the stylist did nothing I asked for but from the moment I called, Jonathan made sure I was comfortable. He paid lots of attention to detail to make sure I had exactly what I wanted done. He explained everything about hair and coloring I never knew and was super flexible about making an appointment. Jonathan and Riley cut and colored my hair- they’re great conversationalists, they were so funny and sweet, offered me yummy drinks, and Remi the pup was a ham who loves lots of pets. I had a great time at Masaya. Hair coloring usually takes a while, but the time flew by chatting with Sergio and Rylee. Sergio really took the time to understand what I was looking for, and I’m very happy with the result. Thank you, Sergio!

This place is the best! My girlfriend made an appointment and I called to give my credit card information to pay for the service. I mentioned that this was for her birthday. Rylee did a terrific job with her hair and Jonathan went above and beyond. He got flowers and candy for my girlfriend for her birthday. It was her first time going and she will definitely be a loyal customer going forward.

I am a big fan of Salon Masaya. I have done several styles I loved here, and I absolutely loved this last one! As a singer, I can be a bit of a risk taker when it comes to my hairstyle, and I can always find professional support for my hair-related endeavors here! I also love how Sergio mentors Rylee, who is responsible for this outstanding look! Thank you so much for such amazing work that supported my look for my music video, Mentira.
