Had the BEST experience with Brenda today! She is absolutely amazing. My hair is so fresh! She took her time on my hair and getting to know me as well. She is friendly and very talented. Highly recommend her!

I have definitely found my new stylist! Brenda Goodin gave me a cut that has done wonders for my thinning hair. It made my hair look so much thicker and healthier. She also recommended a great hair product, Awaken, that has really helped slow down my hair loss. I highly recommend Brenda!

Salon Metaxa deserves high marks especially since Joy Keith has her salon there! Joy is the most outstanding hairdresser I have ever encountered. I call her the hair doctor and for good reason. When I first moved to NC I was in dire need of a great hairdresser....someone who knew how to care for fine, thin hair. I tried several salons only to have them over process my hair which caused it to fall out and become dry and brittle. I looked a mess! I found that person at Salon Metaxa! I’ve been getting my hair cut and styled here regularly for about 3 yrs now and it’s been exactly right every time. Some of my family members also use the same stylist (Renee). It’s convenient to where I live and easy to get to. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back and I always enjoy my visits here.

Discrimination is present here. This is not a culturally diverse salon. My stylist came here from Charlotte to work. When I first walked in the front staff stared at me without greeting. My stylist greeted me and started my session. The entire time I got awkward looks from the other employees and the owner came and talked to her about complaints from other stylist during my session. I felt completely uncomfortable. I will not have to go back because my stylist was terminated from her station because the other stylist didn’t like the “smell” of her ethnic “products”.
