Sena hair braiding

On Wednesday Jan 29th, 2025 I took my 7 year old daughter here to get her beautifully natural long hair braided. I spoke with the braider days before, telling them I'll see them soon. We scheduled it for 12 pm, I arrived at 12:03 pm, we waited about 10 maybe 15 mins before the lady showed up. When I called her it sounded like she just woke up, and she was getting out of bed. When she showed up she started working on my daughter's hair, blowing it out, then she stepped out saying "she'll be back in 10 mins." We waited about 25 mins before she returned, then when she started the braids she got about 3 braids in, my daughter said; "I need a break" and jumped out of the chair. By now Sena is my family. I’ve been going to her for 20 years!! I have been with her through 3 locations. I have never been disappointed. People here are talking about “lack of customer service” we have to give people some grace when there’s cultural differences. You won’t get quality braids for cheaper anywhere else in the city. I highly recommend her. Where Sena goes I follow 🥰

I stopped by this braiding salon to inquire about boho knotless braids, the owner informed me it’d cost $200 for the length I want but I would have to purchase the human hair on my own, she stated I’d been one pack for $40 which I did. After I asked if she’d done the style she showed me videos in which she had. When I arrived the next morning at opening time the owner was not there yet, I explained to the other ladies what I requested the previous day, and they were very kind but there was a clear disconnect in understanding and they called the owner. I spoke to her and reminded her we spoke the night before, and I guess she explained to the other ladies what to do. The staff this morning were extremely unprofessional. I walked in this morning to ask the price of a style. My issue is the lack of customer service skills, the workers stare at you as though you have three heads and do not respond to greeting and look annoyed as you walk in. Yes, I had my dog with me as I walked. However, the workers saw me with my dog and did not stop me prior to entering. Instead, focused more on my pet than my question. Precisely why I stopped returning to this establishment, their work is subpar and their attitudes are terrible.
