Tonja hands down is the best! I have been experiencing lower back pain for years and she was able to figure out what muscle was causing the pain and helped to release it. I was overcome with joy because I had been in pain for so long, and she was able to bring me relief! How she is both gentle and tough is really a skill!

I am a disable veteran and was referred to Serene Retreat Spa by my doctor at the Richmond VA Clinic. I recently received my second massage from Tonja. I am super anxious, nervous but when I first entered I felt pretty calm. The first massage was good, but I think I did not feel super comfortable. But by the second massage I could really trust Tonja to know what she is doing. She listened to me and focused on the areas that I needed most. The hour seemed like 10 minutes and when it was over I felt completely relaxed and ready for a nap. It was that refreshing. I benefited both physically and mentally from Tonja's magic hands. I have been coming here for several months now. I no longer go anywhere else and I wish I had found them sooner. They listen to my needs and customize the massage to target my problem areas. My daughter and I have also enjoyed a wonderful facial by TJ. I highly recommend them. This place is definitely a quiet peaceful retreat for your body and mind.

I got lucky because I was able to book an appointment the same day. I was having pain in my shoulder blade and Tonja was able to work out the trigger point. The pain was gone by the time I left! I was so grateful because I was scheduled to start a new work out boot camp the following day. I started that and I'm feeling great. I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere at Serene Retreat and the specialty products that she used during the massage. Also the prices were great! I will definitely be back and I plan to take advantage of her referral program too.

I received a voucher from my dad on Mother's Day and I've been coming every two weeks since then. I love the feeling that I get when I walk into the building. It gives me a sense of peace. Tonja is the best!! She always makes sure that I'm comfortable before we start. Any area that I ask her to focus on she does with no problem. I had a knot on my left should when I first started coming and now it's gone and I can feel the difference.I feel so relaxed and rejuvenated every time I leave her.
