My sister and I splurged our dad and our brother For a treat, our brother is special needs and he is 69 yrs old and my dad is 93, my sister is 76!! We all received manicures & my sister had a nail repaired.This place is top-tier not only is it beautiful & clean. The women were really nice who worked there. They were patient with my elderly father & brother…the manicures came out beautiful. I have never had a manicure last almost a month without one single chip on my toenail polish. We will definitely return!!

Wonderful, warm, friendly atmosphere and great people. I had a pedicure with Julia and had a few pleasant conversations in English and Spanish with the nail techs and other patrons. My wife and I were in New Haven on business from upstate NY (Rochester area), and we had such a nice time we would come back and visit just to see everyone.

I’m in disbelief of how badly my daughters nails came out. She showed the nail professional what she wanted as you can see the first pic below. The first time they painted her nails fully pink and not a pink French as she asked for. They redid them after I had to intervene , only for the nail girl to get upset and left nail polish all over her nails and also redid crooked thick pink French lined. They were so bad I couldn’t let her walk out that way -specially for the price. A second lady worked on them - she showed them the picture yet again and still thick uneven French tip. I mentioned it again and they were upset that I'm voicing how far off they are from the picture and proceeded to tell me all nails are different. My boyfriend and I come here together for pedicures, he actually introduced me to Shadow Nails when they were at their old location, and everyone welcomed me in with open arms. He sees Monica, who always does such a great job, she’s so sweet and gives his feet the royal treatment every time. I go to Vicky, who’s been doing my pedicures for so long now that I don’t even have to say a word, she just gets it. She knows exactly how I like the shape, the cleanup, the polish--everything. Place was recommended by a friend. I have been there 4 times, first two times I had a decent experience, even though this salon does not use STERILE equipment, I let it pass since my dip powder lasted for upto 4 weeks. 3rd time it started chipping in a week but I thought it's one off times. 4th time, the owner herself did my nails, half French for which I paid extra. Said they would do powder but it was really powder base followed by gel color. Uneven bumpy quality, did not seal the tips properly, dents in nails, uneven French. STARTED CHIPPING IN A WEEK. Top of that billing tech DEMANDED TO TIP minimum 15% of total bill which included the tax too ( I had already tipped 10%). Never had this problem here. Honestly tips are not a requirement, they depend on the service you provide. I am payi
