Update: If Kaileigh had been our stylist from the beginning it would be 5 stars. The way she handled the whole situation was great. She reached out to apologize for our first visit, acknowledged how uncomfortable it was, and offered to have us come back in on a different day to fix his hair when the other stylist wouldn't be there. She was kind and patient. She showed him all of her tools as we went and gave him short breaks when he was getting tired of sitting. We talked about what I want his hair to grow into and she did her best to get it to a place where it can grow out well. There's still one spot where its much shorter, but she couldn't do much about that beyond texturing it to help it blend in or making the whole cut incredibly short so we landed on texturing it. Wow this was a rough experience. We showed up for our appointment with our 5 and 3 year old boys. It was our 3 year olds first ‘professional’ haircut and we wanted to make sure it was a good experience. I thought, surely a place that specializes in kids haircuts must have hair stylists that are specifically trained and suited to make kids comfortable and know how to work with them. Kids can understandably be nervous or hesitant. I was really shocked at how unprofessional all of it was. I won’t go into how uneven the haircuts were because it doesn’t even matter. The worst thing was our 3 year old was bleeding and had cuts around both his ears and the back of his neck. They used a trimmer around his head and ears and pressed it too hard into his skin. This place is fantastic! We've been to several other kids' barbers and Sharkey's is by far the best. Shout out to Malek who gave both my kids their cuts. She's great! Cut it exactly how we asked and was extremely patient with them. They also included nail polishing with my younger one's haircut. The whole experience was fantastic and the price was very reasonable. Thank you!

Sharkey’s Cuts is my 5-year-old daughter’s favorite place! When she gets her regular haircut, they treat her like a little lady: washing her hair with shampoo and even offering to paint her nails with a quick dry under the lamp as a sweet complimentary service. At the same time, she still gets a balloon and a lollipop, so it’s double happiness for her! As a parent, I can say the quality of the haircuts is great too.

I have very mixed feelings about Sharkeys. I definitely think it matters who you get. Everyone is very nice, and my girls have gotten some good haircuts from them, but most of the time we leave overstimulated and disappointed. It’s usually very loud with beeping car horns and a bunch of TVs playing different shows for each chair and kids screaming about hair cuts, all layered over top of clippers and blow dryers. We always have an appointment, but my girls are rarely seen at the time we selected. Yesterday, they were both scheduled for the same time, but my youngest was done before my oldest was even in the chair. Then I was told it would cost an additional fee for them to add long layers to her hair, which they didn’t charge me the last time we were there and the stylist suggested it for
