Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids - Minnetonka

We had a great experience getting a haircut for my daughter on her birthday. Scheduling was easy, the haircut went well and they went out of their way to make the nails and added hair highlight fun elements for her birthday! Much better experience than we’ve had at the nearby kids hair cut salons.

Wasn't expecting to go get my 3 year old daughters haircut just yet. Big brother had other plans and chopped her hair, went to Sharkey's to get her hair fixed we got right in and my daughter did very good sitting during the whole time to fix her hair. Thank you for helping out from such a distraught mom who's heartbroken all of my daughters hair is gone. It's hair and will grow back.

The worst experience I could have ever imagined. The first appointment we had was cancelled by Sharkey’s due to weather which I understand. However they cancelled by starting a group chat text and notifying all of their customers that way in one chat, giving all of us each other’s phone numbers. Apparently data privacy and professionalism is not their strong suit. My son needed a haircut and unfortunately despite the glaring red flag of the group text, this place was the only kid focused place with an opening the next day. You would think that it would be common sense to avoid having items such as balloons present if the child can’t have it during their cut. Stylist was very nice and did a fine job, however warning to customers about advertised service vs. reality. Sharkey's is very inconsistent re: when they give you the entire package you pay for (cut, wash, etc.). I suggest they stop advertising this package just to justify the price when they rarely honor it or act put out when you remind them of the wash. We asked if this location honors the wash part of the package and the stylist said if we want it, they can do it but they don't automatically do it for boys unless you ask. We let her know my son did want the wash. They finished the cut and sent him back without a wash. My son asked me why they still didn't wash his hair. We brought our 4 year old daughter in for her first haircut and it was a spectacular experience! Frederick was very kind, fun, and did a beautiful job with the haircut! There were so many fun and special elements to this experience, it really helped our daughter ease her nerves and she has been excitedly telling everyone about it! Thank you so much!
