Ms. Dee at the Cascade location did a phenomenal job with my starter loc. Her energy was positive and her professionalism was stellar. She listened well to my needs and gave me a thorough assessment and recommendation on how to best care for my hair. Her care showed and was consistent from the wash to the last twist. Her competence and skills are outstanding. Also, Ms. Alendria is a very caring manager with phenomenal customer service skills. She ensured my satisfaction. All and all, the both of them are a clear representation of what great service is. I highly recommend their team.

Now that I’ve been enough times I’d say 3/5 is a solid review. Few times there have been lack of communication. I also typically prefer when a stylist discusses my hair with me , what’s good, what’s going on, this loc breaking etc and have not received that here but below is my breakdown. 1. Lack of communication: I was scheduled with someone specifically, I arrived at the appointment and they had me sit with someone else even though my person was there. I asked why , I wasn’t under or offended or nothing but they shrugged and was like you can go with who you were scheduled with (never even answered so it was just weird) 2. Lack of communication: I wash my hair to cut down on appointment time (micro locs). I showed up to the appointment today after a hour drive to be told it’s now policy

I had such an amazing experience at Shea Locs! I was so pleased and impressed to enter the door to an aesthetically pleasing, clean, and professional salon. I was greeted at the door, got checked in and seated. My stylist was Makayla, she was so sweet and thorough in her explanation of how the salon works, product offerings, and styling process. They had the R&B playlist rolling, music was the perfect volume. I had a retwist and basic style, I was in and out in 2 hours. This is the ONLY place I’ll be coming for my loc maintenance and care. Exceptional work from these beautiful and talented black women!

Unfortunately, this salon was extremely unprofessional. There was constant laughing and joking among staff instead of clear communication. I was initially quoted $1,000 to reconstruct my 10-year-old’s hair. We declined and instead agreed—during an in-store consultation—to a detangle and retwist at $35/hour for 4 hours, plus a $75 retwist. Despite this, I later received a quote for over $600, and the staff even called to confirm that I received it—clearly aware the pricing was inconsistent. The lack of transparency and professionalism is unfortunate.

Shea Locs is an absolute gem! Their online booking system is user-friendly and hassle-free, making scheduling so easy. I couldn't be happier with the service I received – my hair looks fantastic! I always have an amazing experience at this hair salon! Highly recommend this salon for a quality haircare experience!
