I came in with a curly, untamed, and frizzy mess from all this summer heat. This was my first time ever visiting a Unisex Salon as I typically went to Barbers who often cut my hair super short despite me expressing otherwise and ruined the length I had. The consultation with Shi is Beauty was great! It was super easy to get the idea of a K-Pop middle part style I always dreamed of across clearly. My hair was well cared for, and expertly cut on the day for my permanent straightening. The before and after for how my hair came out was stunning! I was in disbelief on how amazing it looked now! And I even walked out with a lot of great styling and product advice! I'm sold on always going to a Hair Stylist now, and even more than that, always visiting Shi is Beauty!

The Hair Scientist I met Shi in 2018 and never looked back. My hair was severely damaged from chemicals and my lack of knowledge on hair maintenance. It didn’t even curl. Among other services Shi is excellent with treating damaged hair and training you on growing healthy hair . Shi has seen my hair go from lifeless to coily. Several curly haircuts , color , highlights and now growing out my hair , we’ve been through it all !

Shi washed, blowed, Flatironed and curled my hair and i love the way it came out. I also really loved how warm and friendly Shi is and very knowledgeable about hair care. I can say if you are tender headed or just don't like your hair being roughed up you won't get that with Shi, she was very gentle. I will definitely be back to get my hair done for sure. I was searching for a Hairstylist that has full knowledge of hair and Shi was phenomenal on my first visit. My hair is in a delicate stage right now. I was asking questions and she answered all of them. Not once did she show on her face that I was annoying her with questions. Shi broke everything down in regards to the condition of my hair. My hair had so much life when she was done. My hair was like dead weight in the previous years and nobody can tell me why. Shi took before and after pictures of my hair. She advised me of what treatments I’m going to need for my hair to be healthy. I was previously miserable with the condition of my hair for a long time and now Shi has bought my confidence back. I would recommend her 1000000000%. Thanks Shi for bringing my smile back!!!!

I met Shi in 2023. My hair has been revived and much healthier because of her. Beautiful hair cuts. Highly recommend. The best in NYC imo.
