What people say about following African Americans around the store is true. Although I find them very helpful finding items, I think their selection of ponytails, braiding hair and bundles is very limited. For example a simple yaki ponytail is nowhere to be found, nor can you find a long 4c pony. Lots of small afropuffs, and not to be mean, but old fashioned ponytails are available and they aren't organized very well either. This store is good for finding products to maintain your natural hair though.

This store should be investigated and shut down. Every African American customer who walks in is closely watched, no matter which aisle they go down. It’s extremely uncomfortable and a clear display of discrimination. I wouldn’t recommend shopping here. What’s even more disappointing is that, although this is a Black-owned business, African American customers are treated unfairly while Ethiopian customers are treated with kindness and respect. No one should experience that level of bias anywhere, especially in a business that should support the broader Black community.

Negative 0 this store hair is fake she sell human hair and it’s not real hair most of their eyelash glue i buy is dried out waisting of money they are unprofessional they have a big fat cat roaming the store and told paying customers that was afraid that they can leave don't have to shop here if they are scared of a cat. They watch everyone like someone gonna steal lady at the register always have an attitude. They are definitely my last option of a beauty store. They need to be closed down and someone new reopen. This location is just unprofessional and waist of money

I was in a rush and picked up this benzonite clay along with other things and noticed that this store is price gauging for this item. It is double what you would pay anywhere else. The store refund policy doesn't allow me to return even if unopened. I'm not a satisfied customer.

On Saturday, September 13, I experienced sharp pushback and refusal after visiting the Silver Spring Beauty Supply Store, and Yehuala refused to inform me about their store's card policy. This business has hidden fees that they do not share with customers, and then the staff of the store accuses the patrons of not inquiring before swiping their debit card. Very poor and unethical business practice. Silver Spring Beauty Supply Store is assessing cardholders with a 44% or 0.44 cents surcharge. The store does not clearly communicate to consumers about its hidden fee charge. Beware! First time and last time every patronizing this beauty supply store.
