It’s storytime….a close friend who has sisterlocks referred me to her loctitian for my install. From the very first phone call, it was so clear that Angela was special. She was professional, funny & welcoming. She patiently explained the process and was VERY knowledgeable. She set me up for an appointment BUT she realized I lived in Hawaii and was planning to travel to Maryland. She immediately offered her travel services. This was such a solution because I was traveling to Maryland for a family medical emergency and wanted to “squeeze” in my hair install. There were lots of tears of relief 😮‍💨 after those phone calls because I was dealing with so much. She flew out a month or so later and got to work EXPEDITIOUSLY. I’m talking the very 1st night. The atmosphere was relaxed and my loctitian was punctual. However, I paid more than $1600 for sisterlocks with a medium dense head of hair (length ranging 6.5-9 inches) and received 215ish sisterlocks. I have had to get the back redone because they looked like regular locs after two months and not the sisterlocks I wanted. I can already tell that the re-installment is more of what I needed and am even contemplating taking the rest out to be redone. I tried to bring up my dissatisfaction but was met with mostly platitudes and a bit of shame about not just enjoying my journey/trusting the process ("so you're not just going to enjoy your journey?" "it's interesting that you think you don't have sisterlocks just because of your lock count..."). If you come for sisterlocks, be very clear ab

I thoroughly enjoyed myself getting the spa experience at Simple Wellness. I knew when I sat down in Angela’s chair that she was going to take care of me. The products she used on my hair instantly made me feel like my hair and scalp were being nourished and cleaned. Angela helped with addressing my concerns and surprised me at how fast and detailed she performed my service. Besides my services, Angela provide me with a list of chemicals to stay away from when treating my hair away from her spa. I’ve never experienced that from a stylist before. I’m elated to say I am a client of Simple Wellness Spa.

Yesterday was my first time visiting the salon. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!! It was comfortable and relaxing! Phoenix (my hair) and I were greeted as soon as I entered the salon and advised of the process. Angela and Bre work well together and are both extremely attentive to the clients needs. The hospitality even extends to adding money to the meter so you don't have to interrupt your service. Angela did a great job at identifying my hair texture, scalp needs etc to continue maintaining healthy locs!! The shampoo from Bre was amazing!! I must say at Simple Wellness you're a client that matters not a payment to process... DEFINITELY looking forward to my relaxing follow up appointment.
