Sister Sister Braiding

I was referred to this salon via a friend months ago which I was very hesitant due to the fact I always get knotless braids in NY that are so precise and perfect the parts are straight and the parts always match the braids. Now when I made the appointment I sent the owner a video from the business page instagram that they posted a few days prior she said ok that’s $350 plus $30 with the hair. I never complained about the price because I’m expecting good work and I know good work cost. I’ve been going to Sister Sister for many years. I don’t trust anyone else on my hair anymore. I absolutely love my hair each time it’s done. My hair is also growing very well with no breakage! They are very professional and have me braided in a timely manner. I highly suggest them.

I made an appointment with Amy a week in advance for my boyfriend to get wicks/dreads. I even sent a photo beforehand to confirm she knew how to do the style, and she assured me she could handle a simple retwist. After driving over two hours for the appointment on Saturday, 12/6, I arrived to find that not only was Amy not there, but no one in the shop knew how to do the style at all. This was a complete waste of my time and gas. She could have easily been honest from the beginning if she didn’t specialize in that hairstyle instead of trying to make a quick buck. Very unprofessional experience, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone.

My style was an entire misunderstanding! How when it's just mini twist braids in the back and corn rolls in the front? I sent the picture I bought and asked if the hair I had was ok and how many packs of hair I needed. The owner asked her stylist if she could do it or not she never asked if the hair I had was the right hair or not. The stylist confirmed this herself. The hair was never discussed. Since apparently the kinky afro twist hair, if you want mini twists, are not supposed to be used, I was supposed to get different kinds of hair freetress or something more silky and not bulky. The owner, Amee, said that for mini twists, it's $700 after the stylist is almost finished with my hair, so what I asked for was not what I received. Came in the shop and got seated right away! Two women worked on my head the entire time, the whole process was fast and the most amazing part; My hair came out absolutely beautiful!!!! I get plenty of compliments daily 😍 I tipped them well, they will be receiving my money again from here on out!
