Sister Team African Braiding

I recently moved to Delaware from Connecticut and was looking for a place to do feed-in braids for me. Mariama was very helpful and did a great job on my hair. What impressed me was that she opened up the shop for me on a Sunday (which is normally her off day) just to do my hair for me. I was so touched cos I called around and no other braiding shop would accommodate me but she did. Plus she did such a good job on my hair. I got so many compliments when I got to work the next day. She also called to confirm the appointment the day before which is very good.

I needed my hair done for my engagement party. I stopped in and these ladies did a fantastic job on my jumbo box braids. They were fast and they even used ornaments at the end. The braids weren’t stiff, too big, or tight. I am very tender-headed. When I get braids, I struggle sleeping the first night, but I sleep comfortably for my party.

I was in desperate need of 2 big feed in braids going back into a pinned bun. Came there for the first time and highly regretted it before the attempt was even made. The lady that I spoke when I called was busy so she called another lady to come in. The lady that arrived, smelled very sour and her body odor took over the whole area. She came in confused as to what to do in general and had to be fully instructed on even matching my color hair. Once she took forever to make the most non-clean part, she stopped and took a napkin, blew her nose several times, crumbled it and then put in her pocket right by me. I was disgusted but being as though I was on a short time schedule for a wedding, I let her continue without voicing my opinion. She did one braid and I got up and looked. Absolutely hor

Made an appointment for 12:00pm.. confirmed my appointment at 11:20am with no response. I go into the shop where there’s 3 stylists doing 3 heads(which they just started/bout 30% of the heads done as this point) , there was also a guy sitting next to me in the “wait area” /couch. Lady asked me “what are you here to get done” I explained that I sent a message/picture yesterday and had a 12:00 appointment (it’s now 12:20) .. she checks her cell phone then got on the phone with her sister. She never said anything to me after looking at the phone , she then leaves her client and says” I’m sorry I gotta go pick up my sister”. The guy waiting asked the client that was left in the chair was she ok she says “Mmhmm” but you could tell she was irritated by the stylist up and leaving. 5-10 minutes l
