Slate Salon and Spa

I have been seeing Laura for about 2 years now. I had bounced around salons because I hadn’t quite found the right place. I found Slate Salon and Spa on google and thought I would give it a try. I can’t imagine going to anybody but Laura. She has a real gift of seeing the big picture and knowing how to get there. I came in with a boxed dye black bob. She immediately had a vision of what my hair could be. 2 years later and she has given me a hair style that allows me to feel truly beautiful. Laura is not only an amazing stylist, but an even better person. If you are looking for a stylist who has a gift of seeing the beauty in everyone, Laura is your stylist. Thank you Laura for everything you have done to help me feel beautiful. You are incredible.

The studio is great, it’s beautiful and everyone is friendly, but the true gem in all of this is Aspen. She did a great job with my hair, like best haircut I’ve had kind of great, but her true magic is the conversation that left me feeling strong, confident, and empowered. Highly recommend Aspen! As she said, come for the cut, stay for the connection.

Julie is an incredible hairstylist! I have had a couple of traumatizing experiences with my hair in the past, but Julie made sure I felt comfortable and heard. She walked me through exactly what she was going to do, and executed it flawlessly! I would recommend her to everyone, especially people with curly hair or people with a very specific vision in mind!

I have been getting my hair done by Julie for years, and I wouldn't trust anyone else. She takes the time to listen to what I want, and executes it perfectly every time! She's incredibly intuitive, kind, gentle, and accommodating. I've had my hair glossed, cut, permed, and I even had my wedding hair styled by her. I couldn't recommend her more!

I want to say this is one of the most professional, cleanest and enjoyable Hair Salons to get your hair done. I have been coming here for years and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff and the owner! Who also happens to be a special needs parent and does an amazing job. I am saddened to see the review below where a smear campaign is being conducted. I was there a few days before Christmas and saw the young lady that was there trying to get her hair done but was struggling. Everyone on the staff tried to make her feel comfortable and did everything right. The fact that the parent of this young lady who was not even there decided to write a review like that and smear such wonderful people is a travesty.
