Snip Salon and Gallery

I recently visited this salon for a simple trim and highlights. While the color was well executed and the cost was reasonable for the area, the haircut itself was so poorly performed that it was difficult to believe it was unintentional. In fact, the layers were cut so inconsistently that a second stylist, who is now working to correct it, assumed it was deliberate. The second stylist even asked whether there had been some kind of disagreement with the original stylist or if she might have been having a particularly bad day. I could recall nothing unusual or negative about our interaction, though the original stylist asked some rather personal questions and I found myself redirecting the conversation several times. Sadly, it will take close to a year for my hair to grow out enough to begin

Went in for a cut and color, I asked for my hair to match my roots. I came out a ginger with dark brown roots because she used a hair gloss on me and not dye. I asked to keep my hair length and maybe have long layers, she took off at least two inches and gave me shorter layers. Before anyone mentions that "maybe we weren't on the same page", a competent hair stylist would ask more questions and gone more into detail. 300$ was spent on colored gloss I could've bought from target.

Helene Sheptin is amazing! The best and most knowledgeable colorist I’ve ever been to. She really takes the time to understand what you want and makes sure it’s exactly what you want. Highly recommend her!

I have been coming to Snip Salon since it opened but this was my first experience having Kenny do my hair. I have very thick hair and a lot of it. He listened to what I wanted (and knew exactly what I needed) and executed my cut and color flawlessly! The salon is very clean, friendly and contemporary but still a comfortable environment. Highly recommend it.

I drive about 15 miles to have my hair done by Tiffany Welling at Snip Salon. She has been my favorite stylist for years. The salon is great... good energy, always busy. It's a beautiful N Scottsdale location, in a strip center anchored by AJs grocery. But I wouldn't drive as far if it wasn't for Tiffany 😊. If you live in the area, it's a great choice! Kenny owns the salon; he once worked in Tiffany's salon. Great people, lots of experience... You won't be disappointed! Update: February 2022 I still visit Tiffany at Snip Salon whenever I want my hair cut and colored. Same great ownership, same excellent salon experience. I still recommend this Salon highly!
