I really wanted to love these products given Lorraine Massey’s legacy, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. After using the CurlyWorld line, I found that the products wouldn’t wash out of my hair, leaving it feeling coated and heavy no matter how many times I rinsed and cleansed. Wanting to give constructive feedback, I called the salon directly to share my experience. Instead of receiving any understanding or support, I was met with hostility and defensiveness that left me shocked. As a customer who had high hopes, I expected at least a respectful conversation. Sadly, between the performance of the products and the lack of professionalism when I reached out, I cannot recommend CurlyWorld.

I feel uniquely qualified to write this review for SpiralXYZ as I have had curly hair all my life (over 6 decades), and have known Lorraine Massey, the genius and owner of SpiralXYZ for approximately 20+ something years now, and I fully intend to know her for much longer. I first discovered Lorraine Massey on NY1, a local NYC television news program. At the time, I was looking to help my 60+ year old mother solve the problem of losing her curls which had “suddenly” gone flat much to her displeasure. At the time, Lorraine was the co-owner of the Devachan salon which was located on West Broadway in SoHo. Absolutely phenomenal experience. I had the privilege of having Lorraine cut my hair. She is a humble master of her craft who teaches you how to love your hair in its natural state and see the beauty in your individual curls. I felt incredible leaving the salon and couldn’t be happier with my hair. ❤️

A CUT ABOVE: Fantastic team who always go above-and-beyond whether it's coaching our curls or general cutting. Lorraine is a rare breed who manages a rare combo of understated and brilliant! Ed is also a gem. If you find em, you'll follow em as i have from Noo York to Ireland and back as they are tender with every tendril.

Fabulous. If you have waves or curls this is where you should go. No one knows curly/wavy/swavy hair better than Lorraine who is absolutely fabulous. Mention Sarah maybe you’ll get a discount. I love Lorraine and Eddie, the colorist!
