I kept the interaction polite and respectful in the moment but the more I'm thinking about it, it feels important to say something. I brought my child in for a haircut today. The stylist told my child she was uncomfortable working on his hair after I had walked away. And then while I paid afterwards she told me if I want my son's natural afro hair to be cut I need to straighten it because it can't be done otherwise. I'm not looking to get anyone in trouble or looking to get anything from this location. But I hope there is some level of training or at least trying to hire more stylists that know how to work with African American hair. My child has type 3c, mixed race hair. Just awful. The stylist, who said she normally works at the Cosner’s Corner location, went on a weird rant mid-haircut about how she doesn’t know if she’ll be around two weeks from now. I nodded my head in agreement, not knowing what she was talking about. I wanted to get out of there, and didn’t really even look at my haircut. I tipped her $15, and this is the result. Maybe stylist knew she messed up and went on a bizarre rant as a result? I don’t know, and it doesn’t really matter. Terrible experience all around.

I've visited this location twice and had a good experience both times. It's always best to "join the lineup" online or you could wait a little bit. But there's always plenty of seating in the waiting area and usually some lively conversation.
