Where do I begin? I’ve been loyal to Jesse at Star Nails in Trolley for several years now and have never been disappointed by her ability to perfectly execute her clients’ visions, no matter how wild or unusual (I’m not talking about myself). Honestly, I enjoy supporting local businesses, and I appreciate that Jesse is honest about whether a design is doable or if it’s a good look for me. Most of my friends and acquaintances in the area frequent this location, and their nails are always gorgeous—whether they’re stiletto divas or prefer a simple manicure. The salon has also recently undergone a great renovation, now serving spirits and offering raffles for discounts. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make a difference. I have been getting gel powder nails, pedicures and waxing at Star Nails for almost 15 years, and can't imagine going anyplace else. The technicians are skilled, friendly, and accommodating. The salon is comfortable and welcoming--great music too! I get compliments on my nails all the time, once from another woman who did nails for a living--and she thought they were my natural fingernails--she had no idea they were gel.

So I have been going for over a year and it was great. However after losing a number of employees I started to notice no matter what kind of pedicure or by whoever I was rushed, poor nail work and actually questioning me on why I wanted more than 1 color. They offer different designs and stickers but are reluctant to do so because it is more time consuming. Today I finally had enough, I asked her to at least cut or file my toenails evenly and she said " oh my gosh what more do you want !" So I left 🤦🏾‍♀️😤😮‍💨 so disappeared

My manicure has been peeling since day 2. I've been coming here for almost a year now and I finally can't bite my tongue any longer while I pay full price, but receive horrible quality nails. Every time I've come here, I was rushed. I usually get gel polish(i was told they no longer offer regular polish)which is hardened/dried by a UV lamp. I've been reassured that my nails were dry even when I told them I don't think I sat under the lamp long enough. Every time the polish started to peel the very same day- 2 days later. I pay over $50 for gel polish that has peeled off literally every time I've gone here. It's a total waste of my money.
