This review isn’t from one singular service, it’s from about 6 months of care. Care is the keyword in that because, as women we care about our hair more than our bodies and trusting someone with that is nerve wracking. The first time I met Pooka, I knew she was it for me. We clicked immediately, and watching her effortlessly take care of my locs was a thing of beauty. I was looking for a safe space to maintain my hair when I walked in, but what I found was a joyous space that breathed new life into me. If I ever had to choose just one person to ever touch my crown, I’d choose Pooka twice 🫶🏾

Very nice and professional staff. I had the best experience getting my sew in done by Veya for my birthday and a few months ago and I’m booking with her again. Everyone is lovely and the space is very comforting! 100% recommend!

I had a beautiful relaxing time in her chair and she checked in with me multiple times to make sure i was comfty and I WASSSS 😂❤️ I will be coming back in 2-3 months. I seriously can’t recommend this hairstylist enough! She was kind enough to squeeze my boyfriend in for a last minute appointment, and then, to make things more complicated, I totally messed up the appointment time. He ended up showing up at the wrong time, and somehow she was still incredibly accommodating and took him anyway without hesitation. That kind of flexibility and understanding is rare and so appreciated. On top of that, the actual retwist + cut took half the time it usually takes with his previous stylists, and he was beyond impressed. He said she had the most uplifting and positive energy, the kind of vibe that makes the whole experience feel easy and comfortable.
