Imagine thinking you’re just going to get glamorous then leaving with an ALLERGIC REACTION due to NEGLIGENCE , when you advise these woman what service you want they DONT care they give you what they want , after I explain to them I have a allergy to certain dye && now my face is burnt I have open sores on my head and all on my ears , this is the worst experience ever I’m embarrassed I’m itchy and I’m hurt , the Owner TERESA is MONEY HUNGRY and doesn’t care about her customers at all , all she cares about is money , she didn’t even offer a refund or an apology , all she said to me oh it’s just an allergic reaction while patting me on my shoulder with a chuckle . I was rushed to the hospital due to lumps in my neck , this salon doesn’t even have NOT ONE stylist license up , but I don’t thin

I don’t usually leave reviews, but today’s experience really disappointed me. I have weave, and I understand that not everyone knows how to properly wash weaved hair. Unfortunately, the woman who washed my hair clearly did not. Since this was a last-minute appointment and I already had plans, I decided to move forward anyway. After sitting under the dryer for an hour, my hair was still very wet. I asked if I could stay under the dryer a bit longer. At that point, the woman began taking pictures of my hair without my permission and said my hair was dirty — even though it had just been washed. I explained that my braids were still wet and that there was still conditioner left in my hair. After some back and forth, they allowed me to sit under the dryer longer. Moved out of the city and I haven’t been to Impressions (Style By Bar Beauty Salon) in a while, I recently made my way back there and it was like I never left! Theresa has been doing my hair for years, she took care of me for my most recent visit and did not disappoint! Truly a gem! I have no complaints and very pleased with my hair.

I love getting my wash and set done here with my daughter. It’s always a professional, attentive, and friendly self care experience with the salon owner and her beauticians. I highly recommend this business in Queens for any woman looking to feel and look fabulous! All the best to this growing business in 2026!

I love it here! I’ve been coming to this salon for 19 years and I won’t go anywhere else! The service and staff is amazing! Betsy is the best and Pamela is great with blowouts and styling .
