I did not enjoy my service there. I had a 4:pm appointment and I sat there for at least 45 minutes without anyone servicing me. If I didn't pay a deposit online, and didn't need my hair done, I would have walked out after 15 minutes. I really needed my hair done for an occasion and I had another appointment elsewhere at 5:30. I didn't get shampooed until 10 minutes to 5:00. I didn't receive the trim that I added for the appointment, so I wasn't charged full price.

I’m usually a very patient person but as of last Thursday my patience has finally run out. I have been taking my son to get his hair done in two strand twist for almost a year and they never come out right. I would show Matilda a picture of how he wanted his hair and it never looks like what I showed her. Time management is non existent he would never be seen at his appointment time but he would always be seen three hours later we would get there in the day time and leave when it’s dark outside… his appointment was at 2:45pm but someone who wasn’t me had a nerve to conveniently change his appointment to 3:00pm and we didn’t leave until well after 7:00pm oh and let me not forget about how she had my child waiting for hours before she started his hair which wasn’t even half way done when she

Beautiful and resilient silk press. My stylist moved to Florida so ive been searching. I'd been to 2 other stylists whose silk press was a "no" press in 3 days. Unfortunately some people just do not know what they're doing. Matilda did an awesome job and husband loves it.

The worst part about my review is Matilda did GREAT work when she did my 1st silk press in 2 years...the trim, press & everything hair wise was beautiful. Unfortunately, I won't be returning because there is no regard for people's time. My first time, I had an event that evening & had to push my nail appointment back twice due to waiting hours(no exaggeration)for my service. The 2nd time, I didn't get the full service I booked (treatment, wash, trim...thats it!!!) because I waiting hours. I had an 11am appt and had to leave with no trim at 2pm so I could get my daughter from school. That's been about 3 months ago...I think I'm frustrated now because I don't know of another natural hair care stylist & I refuse to go back here smh

I have been going to Matilda since March 2020! The staff is always nice and inviting. Anything I get she kills. Reasonable prices and a great atmosphere! I don’t let anyone else braid my hair since. She also has a scalp detox for ppl who has dandruff bad and it works wonders for my daughter hair!!! Go check her and her staff out. Oh and you get a wash and blow dry with your hairstyle. I Love it there and you will too!
