Stylz Unlimited Hair Salon Durham

Worst experience ever. Owner/ stylist Trevora aka Michelle is very unprofessional and doesn’t know how to do hair. She combed my hair with a small tooth comb which was pulling my hair out. She blamed my shampoo and conditioner but all together I had my hair combed by another girl 2 times who also had no clue how to do hair and wash my hair in cold water. Some of her stylist including her were drinking alcohol while doing clients hair. My appointment started at 11:45 and by time I said I had enough it was 3pm and not close to being finished with my silk press.Michelle had no care about the rude service she was providing. The place was a complete mess and should be deemed as a fire/safety hazard. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Think twice!! I was greeted by a very nice and professional young lady when I arrived. However, Beware!!! I went in with a full afro, came out looking like Pee Wee Herman. The trim/cut was nothing like the pic I showed her. I was in shock but paid her and left. It was absolutely awful!! My anger has kept me from posting a review. I went from about 8 inches to almost bald. I'm not sure why she did this. I'm seriously hurt, especially since it took me so long to grow it back after my medical treatments. UNBELIEVABLE! She told me "you're going to love this" and handed me the mirror. I couldn't even speak! She had to be kidding me. Sort of chuckled and thanked me for coming. If I could give a zero, you bet I would. I noticed this was not her first bad boy cut. Can I get a refund?

My daughter and I have been clients of Stylez Unlimited for several years now, and we couldn’t be happier. Zakiyah is our stylist, and she does an exceptional job every single time. The atmosphere in the salon is always warm, welcoming, and full of love and laughter. It’s more than just a hair appointment—it’s an experience we truly enjoy.

The staff is friendly and extremely professional. They accept walk-ins and I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes even during the back to school rush! My whole family gets their hair done and we all have different styles. 10/10!!

My first experience of this salon was nothing but awesome. The owner is beautiful and her stylists who were also present were awesome. Lets just say my experience was healing and love and that is the space I want to be when I get my hair done.
