Sugar Braids LLC in Bowie Maryland did an amazing job on my 10 yr old granddaughter's Micro Locks. They handled her with care. It was the perfect environment... peaceful and clean. I knew she was going to be sitting for hours getting the Micro Locks with the hair added...and I wanted to make sure she was comfortable. Everything went perfect. I highly recommend Sugar Braids.

DO NOT GO TO SUGAR BRAIDS! Take your business elsewhere! I have posted this review for BOTH of their locations - Silver Spring and Bowie. I brought my daughter to Sugar Braids about a week ago to get some Senegalese twists. They did a horrible job, the twists are unraveling already, and the price nearly DOUBLED at the end of our service. There was no mention of any price increase and when we asked why it was different, one of the workers gave a litany of excuses. We even spoke to the owner, who couldn’t use actual words to explain why there was a hefty price increase for twists. Plus, the owner was incredibly rude, as were her employees. Finally found my braiding spot in the DMV! I had a great experience at Sugar Braids back in May and am excited to return to get my vacation hair done later this month. I got knotless french curl with boho pieces and it turned out beautifully. They even have the option not to use gel which I appreciated. I was really nervous because I have had a lot of horrible experiences at the more popular (sweat) shops in the area. I've also tried numerous "IG braiders" in the DMV to no avail. Sugar Braids is the real deal. A lot of "braiders" now are just concerned about posting content to get as many people in their shop as possible rather than hair health or quality of their work. I have never been so happy with my hair in my entire life. I finally committed to Micro Locks and they are beautiful!!!! I have a different walk and talk, lol. The women that did my hair are true professionals and made me feel at home. If you get the opportunity to get your hair done with these sistas, do it. You won't be disappointed!!!!

I finally found a braiding salon that cares for your hair and listens and braids according to what i want. I will be back for sure
