Sugaring NYC - Merrick Long Island

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had such an amazing experience at Sugaring NYC – Merrick! From the moment I walked in, the space was clean, welcoming, and beautifully set up. The staff was professional, friendly, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I decided to make the switch after getting tired of the constantly rising prices at European Wax Center, and I’m so glad I did. Not only is sugaring gentler on the skin, but the pricing felt much more reasonable for the quality of service I received. My technician was thorough, efficient, and clearly experienced. The results were smooth, and the process felt less irritating than traditional waxing. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience — I’ve officially found my new go-to spot! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a better altern

I went for an underarm wax & didn’t even get past a quarter of my underarm. The technique & horrific pull of the skin was horrible! I ended up with my skin burnt & irritated, didn’t let the aesthetician finish that quarter section & left. The owner was sweet & asked if I would try again and didn’t charge me. I told her I would never come back but thanked her.

I had an amazing experience during my first visit to the studio. The space was beautiful and welcoming. I was warmly greeted by the friendly front desk staff and promptly escorted to the treatment room. I received an incredible sugar eyebrow lamination. The specialist explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. I’m thrilled with the results and will definitely be returning!

I’ve never had an overly positive experience here over the past two years, but nothing bad enough until today to warrant a review. I haven’t found a single person I enjoyed to do my wax, but today I actively disliked my entire service. Not only was my sugarista inhospitable and borderline rude, I said “Ow, the sugar is hot” I was told “No, it’s not.” I proceeded to say “Well it kinda burned” and not only did she continue slathering it all over me without stopping, I was being gaslit saying that it wasn’t hot and was never asked if I wanted to stop or got any temperature checks. I’d like to think that I know what is painful and too hot for my body. If I didn’t have the Sugar Pass membership, I would absolutely not be coming back. Once I complete my pass, I will assuredly not be returning.

Everyone I have been with at the Merrick location has been wonderful, but Amy has been the best for my Brazilian waxes. I am incredibly sensitive to pain in that area and have cried my way through sessions in the past. I have NEVER been so AT EASE with a technician before. Amy’s energy, empathy, patience, sweet and kind spirit, accuracy, precision, and skill have changed my sugaring experiences!! I spend my sessions laughing, smiling, talking, and giggling with her. We always laugh because when I first started with her, I informed her that I could not talk during waxing because of the pain and that I would probably cry. I have not shed one tear with her!! Even on the most sensitive spots (the lips), she cleans everything up well and is so patient and comforting. 10/10. I would recommend th
