Sunset Nails

I received a gift card to this salon, and wanted to treat myself after finals and before winter break. Appointment was rushed, sloppy, and painful. As somebody who does not do their toes often, I was really excited for a refresh. Unfortunately it resulted in ingrown toenails and polish that chipped after two days. The only positive is they squeezed me in the schedule, but I can see why they’re not busy. Do not waste your money.

UPDATE (2/22/25) - got a snake design on my nails and absolutely love it!!! Vivian never disappoints!! Great prices and speedy service! The decor and aesthetic of the shop are mostly no frills, but the quality, value and speed of the service are great and far better than many other shops. I’ve been coming here for several years now and always get a gel mani with design. Vivian is a star, bangs out tricky designs in record time and always strives for perfection.

Me and my friend paid over 160 dollar for nails here on Friday and all of our gel nail polish came off in two days on both hands and toes. Do not come here. We asked for a refund and they said their owner was out of town until January and could not do it but offered to do them again as if we would want that.

This is the best place in the city to get your nails done. I love coming to Sunset Nails to get incredible nail art on my acrylics. Their sets always last and the designs always amaze me. There's nothing they can't do at Sunset Nails!

Most uncomfortable service I have EVER had. And I’ve gone to this place several times because of the proximity. One of the nail techs always lectures me in a passive aggressive way because I multi-task on my phone during on my appointment. I go to MANY nail salons all over SF and Bay Area and no one has this attitude. Sunset Nails, look at your recent low reviews for feedback 🫠 TT Nail Spa Waxing is close by and they give me such kind and polite service. Go there instead.
