This is what a regular gel mani looks like after 3 weeks! Nearly perfect still. I’m tough on my manicures, this really impressed me. Going back for a fresh one today 🥰

Alice does the best dip manicure in all of Brooklyn. She’s single-handedly brought my frail nails back to life and made sure the at they are strong, long, and chic as ever. This sass-tastic manicure alone has been there to help me: - Dismantle and build a new bed frame at 2 am - Snip stems for several shifts at a flower shop - Type thousands of words on Slack, Google Docs, etc. - Train for a half marathon - Attend countless coffee dates with friends, lovers, enemies - Make me feel like a legitimate adult who has their life together As a human, Alice clearly takes great pride in her work and it shows. She’s kind, thoughtful, and even sewed her name gorgeously into her apron. No one’s doing it like her!!! If you’re in the area, and honestly even if you’re not, get a mani from my girl Al

My worst nail-nightmare came true, yes that is a chunk of skin almost cut off completely by nail clippers from my technician. The nail technician (wearing red yesterday) was clipping the sides of my nails to get an almond shaped nail and nearly cut off the whole chunk of skin. It was so painful. Then again she made me bleed while using the dremel tool on my pinky cuticle. I didn’t make a huge fuss just move on and get my service completed. I ended up giving a $10 tip on the total $84 service I got (spa pedi and gel mani). The lady did a good job, but with the injuries I just couldn’t see myself tipping more than $10. I could not believe it, but she made it extremely clear that she was upset from my tip!! I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt based on the reviews but

The first three photos are from maybe an hour after getting a gel mani. As you can see, there are bubbles on the nails and the clearcoat polish started to lift off and peel. I showed up the next day on Monday to get them fixed but they were closed. I was super disappointed because my nails were still peeling a lot. I Showed up today to have them fixed and the lady did not want to redo every single nail and was arguing with me. It was an uncomfortable experience and there was no apology. I am home now and only after a couple hours, I’ve noticed the clear polish is peeling once again. I am unsure as to what the issue was - Either they need to start using a different brand of clearcoat or apply less clearcoat. For the price this is a great spot. I’f rather go to a simple shop, like this one, where the focus be on doing a good job at a reasonable price point and where the manicurists seem generally happy, and that’s here. I had a basic mani / pedi in marshmallow white.
