Switchyards Savannah

I understand the concept Switchyards is aiming for, but this location does not function as a professional coworking space. The environment is consistently loud, with intrusive music and frequent conversations, and posted rules (table occupancy, phone calls, moving furniture, eating full meals) do not appear to be enforced. The advertised “lightning-fast internet” was disappointing. I had difficulty staying connected, and when connected, speeds were around 32 Mbps download, far below expectations for a paid coworking space. The final issue was an unprofessional interaction with a staff member. A Switchyards employee named Jessika attempted to sit in a seat that clearly had my coworker’s belongings placed in front of it. Nothing like Drake, 21 Savage and Joyner Lucas blasting at the nightclub I mean work club at 10AM on a Tuesday! The music problem is noted in Switchyards reviews from every single location, not just Savannah. Falls on deaf ears, which I wish I was as I'm looking over spreadsheets distracted by Megadeth. I understand the need to balance music (variety & volume) so people can focus without hearing every conversation, cough, and pin drop of other patrons, but seriously, this ain't the balance. I travel often and have been a member of various collective work spaces around the world. I signed up for Switchyard Savannah as soon as I saw that it was opening. It has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and and excellent brand identity. However, the noise inside never ends. Even though the company sends several emails about not having loud conversation in the work spaces and provides meeting rooms and phone booths people chat away without any regards to the person sitting right next to them. I am currently listening to a conversation about people's kids across the room. The music is also a bit loud. While it is a lovely space, with a lot of potential, as it is, it's just an over priced coffee shop, and that's solely due to the people not using the space for what it is designed for, and th

Love this place so far, and come here a couple times a week. Distractions are low, coffee is good, and the location is amazing. The only thing preventing a 5 star is that the music inside, which i believe is intended to drown out conversations, is itself a bit too loud. Even with noise cancelling people can hear it over me on calls when I talk.

I see what they are going for. I’m not really impressed with the Wi-Fi speeds; it’s not “lightning fast,” it is painfully slow like basically airplane Wi-Fi. The coffee is good. Stroopwafels are my dream. Also, they play the weirdest music in here, not normal music, but weird stuff. They play NPR in the bathroom, and while I was in there, they were explaining how to discuss oral pleasure with your partner, going into very explicit detail. Very inappropriate
