Taif African Hair Braiding

I booked an appointment here for MEDIUM knotless braids after calling and being told $180 for that style. I arrived, they tried to tell me $230, I told them I was quoted $180 on the phone, they said okay and immediately sat me down to start braiding. As we got closer to the end, I noticed they were not finish braiding my braids down to the end, I asked them to finish, and they tried to just dip the ends anyhow. I stopped them and began finishing the braids myself. They then began tying the braids off with knots, leaving the bottoms of the braids unfinished. I have been going to the shop for over 20 years and this was my last time going. The women here are extremely rude talking about their customers in their native language while styling them. That is very disrespectful, especially when you understand what they’re saying. They also hate for people to mention the coupons that they have listed online. They will fight accepting the coupon- and will raise the cost of your style to avoid accepting it. The quality of hair that they use is trash – especially if you are getting Boho hair. Their quality of work has gone down significantly over the years. I refuse to continue to give them my heart money to be disrespected and to hate my hair when I’m done. My Braids will not even hold up a week.

Very uncomfortable experience. Had 2 ppl on my head both tugging my head in the direction they needed at the same time. Very heavy handed loud talking spit coming out their mouth not a relaxing environment. I got boho shoulder length braids. The boho hair is synthetic although I called and they said they provided human boho hair it was tangled the same day. The parts are not neat literally just pulled out hair braids it. Tried to braid every tiny piece of hair on my head had to tell her to not to do that she got made and ripped out the braid with my hair inside. The only thing was good was speed they were fast. Need new management.

Misleading Pricing and Unprofessional Service I recently visited Taif with my 9-year-old daughter, who has natural hair, to get her hair braided in individuals. Over the phone, I was quoted a price of $80, which I was comfortable with. However, when we arrived at the salon, the price suddenly jumped to $120. When I questioned the increase, the braider claimed that my daughter's hair was "too long" and that it would require more time and effort. First of all, they had no other clients and in was 11 am. "The braider" was sleeping on their sofa and the lady I was speaking with most of the time sat with her arms folded and spoke with hostility. I took my granddaughter to get her hair done last Sunday and I showed the Africans the picture of her hair and they did the opposite. I told the lady to call me when my daughter hair is finish she never called. She had my daughter sitting there for two hours I had to call up there. I asked my granddaughter what took so long she said they Internet or website or something didn’t work so they couldn’t call me. I would never ever go back to this place again they did not do her hair exactly like on the picture. .
